After our initial inspection is complete, our cleaning process on average takes about 30-45 mins. Dryer vent cleaning time varies due to set up, length of vent & the severity of built-up lint.
Yes, we always appreciate if you do, as we pull out your dryer for our pre-inspection & cleaning. If the area is already cleaned out and free of any laundry detergent or other items that may block the dryer, it makes the service just a little quicker & easier for everyone.
Dryer fires are real. They are one of the #1 causes of house fires. Families with children or several people in the home, we recommend to clean your dryer vent once a year or at the very least, inspected. Some home owners with minimal laundry could wait to have their dryer vent cleaned every two years.
We charge $149.99 plus tax to clean a standard dryer vent. Unlike some dryer vent businesses there are no hidden charges. We don't charge extra for roof access or length of ductwork. The only extra charge that would be applied is if a bird nest is found during pre-inspection, we charge accordingly to variance. The reason being is because more equipment and time is needed to fully extract all nesting out of your ductwork.
We do! It's very common for the standard "plastic" vent covers to get brittle & break over time, allowing birds or rodents in. We replace those with anti-rodent galvanized/powder coated metal covers. These come in 4 different colors to match any siding! Aside from cleaning, Lint Catchers specialize in installation/repair of dryer duct systems, vent covers, flex hoses, and much more.
The most common tools used by a homeowner is either using a leaf blower or sticking a vacuum hose in the ductwork which could possibly disconnect the ductwork or even rip old flex hose. Furthermore, lint that gets clogged or stuck on the edges of the ductwork NEEDS AGITATION, meaning it needs to be moved with more than air. Lint Catchers uses nylon and/or thin metal brushes that spin at a high rate of speed simultaneously getting extracted into a high-powered vacuum.
